Formula One

Formula One is without doubt one of the most stylish modern day sports to participate in. Its origins came from the European Grand Prix and resulted in a set of rules being made, resulting in the first Formula One race taking lace in 1950. Although the world championship has visited numerous venues worldwide, there is always one constant - the motor companies who annually invest millions into their team. The landmark motor car companies are Ferrari, Renault and Williams while in recent years Red Bull and Jordan have raced successfully. The spectators are always interested in the drivers, from the hard racing of Alain Prost through to the determined driving of Michael Schumacher.
Racing events

There are quite a few motor racing events each year which each have a different fan base around the world and each have different rules and credentials. The FIA WTCC is quite easily of the most watched car racing events the jam packed motor sports diary. First devised in 1987, the WTCC series is held all over the world including in prestigious locations such as Great Britain, Czech Republic, Italy and Morocco. Other popular auto racing championships include the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, the World Rally Championship and the Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo . The iconic Le Mans Series and the NACAR Nationwide Series are also two of the top motor racing events.
Car racing facts

Also known as automobile racing, car racing involves racing cars for competition and is easily one of the best televised sports in the world. It's believed auto racing began just after the first gasoline-powered automobile was built and it's widely thought that the first ever world car race was devised by a French magazine in 1984. The first car race track started in Paris and ended in Rouen and attracted top motor manufacturers like Peugeot and De Dion in addition to numerous private motorcar owners. Although auto racing continued to progress over the years, it wasn't until the 1930s that automobiles were built with racing solely in mind, with exceptional performance vehicles from motor manufacturers like Auto Union and Bugatti transforming the world of car racing forever.
